The Fifth Annual Texas Steak Cook-off, Beef Symposium and Tourist trap will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008. Average attendance over the past four years has increased from approximately 4,000 to more than 6,000 people spending a spectacular day feasting on steaks, listening to live country music, visiting with local artists, “Very interesting chefs” competing for the title of the Best Rib-eye steak cooked in Texas, enjoying Texas Wines, and taking in the sights in historic Hico, Texas.
