In addition to the Texas Steak Cookoff Competition, cook teams can participate in the Appetizer Cookoff, with a Grand Prize of $1,250. To participate in the Appetizer Cookoff, select the appropriate box when filling out the Texas Steak Cookoff registration form.
To enjoy the fullness of all the Texas Steak Cookoff has to offer, we recommend arriving early to enjoy the appetizers to experience a true taste of Texas. Cook teams that participate will cook appetizers for the public to enjoy, but tickets are required. You can choose Appetizers Only tickets, or Appetizers & Steak tickets.
Appetizers must be submitted to the judging station by 10:30AM.
You can cook anything you want for the Appetizer Competition.
You must submit 7 samples for judging. Only one appetizer submission per team.
