The Wine Tasting at Hico’s Original Texas Steak Cookoff will feature a wide variety of Texas wines, from sweet and fruity, to dry and full-bodied. You’re invited to experience what has made Texas wineries so popular in recent years. No previous wine knowledge required, only an adventurous attitude! Everyone 21 years or older is invited to participate.

The Texas Steak Cookoff Wine Tasting will be held from 11AM-5PM.
$30
$30 ticket includes a commemorative Texas Steak Cookoff wine glass.
Wine For Purchase
You can purchase wine directly from the wineries, either by the glass, bottle or case.
WINE TASTING
Sign Up To Be A Wine Tasting Vendor
Space for wineries in the Texas Steak Cookoff wine tasting is limited, so submit your application as soon as possible. Once the spaces are filled, no more applications will be accepted.
Additional Info:
- 11AM-5PM in the wine tasting tent.
- Wine Tasting setup will be available from 8:30AM-10AM.
- If a vehicle is required to transport your wines to the tasting, it must be removed from the Cookoff area by 10AM. A parking area will be set aside for you.
- Participating wineries need to obtain a festival permit from TABC.
- Participating wineries are required to provide 1-ounce tastings for up to 800 people.
- Each winery will be reimbursed a percentage of the gate proceeds ($.40 per 1 oz. pour)
- Participating wineries will be able to sell their wine by the glass or bottle along with any of their merchandise at the wine tasting.
